Stephanie DeMars

Growing up, softball was Coach DeMars' passion.  She played travel softball on a club team, was a 4 year varsity high school starter, spent two summers in Germany playing, and also played collegiate softball at California State University Hayward where she was selected to 1st team all Region and 2nd team All American her junior year.  After college, she was an assistant coach for various teams.  

Stephanie's goal for the team is to challenge the girls to be competitive all while continuing to develop their skills and love for the game. 

Katie Hart

We welcome coach Hart for her inaugural season coaching club softball with the Blast. 

Katie has an extensive history with the game of softball.  She was an accomplished club and high school player.  She played at the college level.  She has also coached Varsity and JV at the high school level.  She is excited to transition to coaching club.  

Katie's coaching philosophy is centered around the idea that winning is great but we do not win at all costs.  Especially with these younger girls her emphasis will be on skills development, sportsmanship, having fun and transitioning players and families from rec to club softball.  ​
