10U - Strode
Our intent in starting a first year 10U team is to fill our roster with great girls, to foster their love of softball, to create an environment that is fun, to teach and to reinforce fundamentals so the girls reach their full potential as players. Our hope and intent is for this group to stay together through the years.
As a first year team we will play a shortened 4-6 tournament NAFA schedule. We expect to integrate our club schedule with the girl's little league schedule for this inaugural 2019 season.

Coach Strode's story on the diamond starts as a very accomplished softball player. Shannon played Division 1 softball for a nationally ranked Oregon State University softball program and is a former Oregon Sun Supply club player. Coached by Tim Hill, Strode competed in 8 ASA national tournaments placing 3rd and 5th in back to back years. In addition, Strode is a Tigard High graduate, a 12-time letter winner, and is also one of only 40 players in the Country invited to compete for a spot with the United States World Junior Olympic National Softball squad.
After her playing days came to an end - and once her daughter reached an appopriate age - Coach Strode returned to the diamond to coach softball through Tigard Little League for several years. |
Coach Sabah has coached club ball, high school, and collegiate level softball for over 30 years.
Joining forces with Coach Tim Hill many years ago, Paul has been the assistant coach for Oregon Sun Supply, George Fox University, and Pacific University. Paul is in the Oregon Chapter American Softball Association Hall of Fame and is currently the Assistant Softball Coach at Lakeridge High School. |
Coach Hill is one of the winningest coaches in Club Ball and Collegiate Women’s Fastpitch Softball. He began his college coaching career with two seasons at George Fox where he was named the conference’s Coach of the Year, and retired from Pacific University after 12 highly successful seasons as head coach.
Prior to arriving in the college ranks, Tim set records with his club ball team – Oregon Sun Supply - leading 14 teams to the ASA National Tournament including capturing first place at the U-16 ASA Softball National Championship. Coach Hill is being inducted into the USA Softball Northwest Region Hall of Fame on January 26th. |
