The coaches who will lead our team are:

Frank Medeiros

Coach Medeiros enters his 5th season coaching club softball with the Tigard Blast.  Prior to that he coached several seasons of softball with Tigard Little League and a few seasons of CYO basketball.  He is also President of the Blast.

Frank's core coaching principles are to care about the girls as people, to be enthusiastic about everything we do and to trust the girls.  He believes that if we do the right things the right way for the right reasons the results will take care of themselves.  Coach Medeiros considers himself a teacher the game; his players and teams constantly improve.

Ryan Siegel

Coach Siegel returns for his second season coaching the 14u team.  Ryan also coached the 10u team last year, was previously the President of Keizer Little League and coached softball through Keizer LL for several years.

Ryan believes it is his job as coach to help the girls have fun, learn the game, teach good sportsmanship and team play - all of which results in positive life lessons.  He is not a coach to yell or scream at players for making mistakes.  Instead he believes in correcting the mistake in a positive way.  Ryan believes the best way for the girls to learn to the best of their abilities is to have brief verbal instruction and high volumes of repetitions to practice the correct method.

Brooke Snyder

We are excited to welcome Brooke to the Blast for her inaugural season of coaching.

Brooke was an extremely accomplished player.  She topped off a very successful club career by playing at Linfield.  Brooke was a pitcher and 1B.  A non-parent coach, Brooke will be an invaluable resource to all the girls on the team.  An area of emphasis for Brooke will be the 1B, hitters and pitchers.

Thank you for considering the Blast.  If you have questions about our program or are interested in joining our teams, please use the Contact Us or Tryout Registration forms at the top of this page.
